* Equip the Amulet of the Sun so that you can kill the level 24 Vampire Lord.

If the player heads straight for the Vampire Lord to kill him, when his health runs out he will disappear in a puff of smoke. This means that you need to find a way to allow you to kill him.

There are various books in the area that give clues on how to defeat him. To defeat him you need to find the three pieces of the amulet of the sun and combine them. While wearing the amulet you are able to kill the Vampire Lord.

The first piece is found in the area with the multiple rooms each with a row of coffins. The coffin with the piece is the one that has a cross above it facing sideways.

The second piece is found in the rooms with the fire traps and pools of water. One fire trap blocks your progress so you have to run through it and use the pool of water to stop the fire damaging you. It's a good idea for Warriors to warcry at least once so that their warcry shield can block some of the damage.

The final piece is hidden in the Vampire Lords coffin. You can either kill him so that he disappears in a puff of smoke then grab the piece or run past him to get it. He has a long respawn timer so it's a very good idea to run past him to get the piece.

Now that you have all three pieces, combine them and wear the amulet. You can now kill the Vampire Lord. After you kill him you will receive experience and a message saying "Congratulations on slaying the toughest(?) creature down here!" that confirms that you've done it correctly.

Return to Sir Jones to start the next quest.
