Story
When you visit Ramin, he reflects on how peaceful Arkhata once was and yet is now overrun with monsters. Suspecting that something is generating this evil, he sends you to Jada for guidance.
Jada confirms they’ve traced a source of corruption to the cave system beneath the fortress. A hole in the corner of her room leads directly into the caves. She asks you to investigate and bring back whatever is causing the disturbance.

Quest Objectives
- Find The Darkness Blade and return it to Jada.
Walkthrough
After accepting the quest, go through the hole in the south corner of Jada’s room to enter the cave system.
This area is a maze-like network filled with strong Frawds, so be prepared for a tough fight as you explore.
Eventually, you'll come across Chappy, the boss Frawd. Defeating him is optional, he isn't required for the quest, but he is stronger than the other enemies, so proceed with caution.
Just south-west of Chappy, you’ll find a small rock up against a wall. Near it is a fake wall hiding a locked chest. To open it, you’ll first need to find the key.
From the chest room:
- Head to the west corner, where there’s another fake wall.
- Go through it, and continue down the corridor to another fake wall at the end.
- Behind it is a Frawd carrying the key.
- Defeat this Frawd, return to the chest, and unlock it to obtain The Darkness Blade.
Bring the blade back to Jada to complete the quest and receive your reward.

- According to their in-game descriptions, Frawds are dwarves driven mad. It’s possible that The Darkness Blade may be responsible for their loss of sanity.
