Ruby
A normally rude woman, if you help her out she will return the favor.
Favors
Throughout Astonia you may find Ruby who will ask you to help her. This tends to be with giving her a specific item she asks for or a collection of items but she may also ask for advice.
Each favor you complete for Ruby will add points towards the weapon she gives you with the point value given being dependant on the favor done. Completing every available favor yields a total of 260 points.
Ruby's Weapons
Ruby rewards players who help her by completing favors with a custom weapon from her home in Aston (162,214). The weapon type is determined by your highest weapon skill. If multiple skills are tied for highest, the priority is: Dagger, Hand to Hand, Staff, Sword, then Two-Handed. The weapon tier is also determined by your weapon skill, up to the maximum tier at weapon skill 110.
When you claim your reward, you can choose two stats. The first is a choice between Pulse, Tactics, or your highest weapon stat, while the second is chosen from Wisdom, Intuition, Agility, or Strength. The stats on the weapon scale with your favor score, up to the maximum you can equip at your level or +20 with all favors complete. The +stat provided is equal to total points*20/260 rounded down. For example, if you have 190 total points then you can receive a +14 weapon.
You can claim a weapon once you have at least 30 points, which provides a +3 bonus to a stat. If you do not like the weapon Ruby offers, you can decline it and immediately re-roll the weapon or complete more favors or increase your weapon skill to get a better weapon.
Claiming a weapon resets your points and her favors so you need to repeat them to receive another weapon from Ruby.
Failing Favors
It's possible to fail a task for Ruby by choosing dialogue options that refuse to help. For example replying with "I don't care." when she asks for a torch or replying with "That's too bad. Well, I must be going." when she asks for a spade. Giving the wrong answer when she asks what the Governor's favorite pie is will also fail that favor.
Failing a favor means that you can no longer complete that favor until you claim a weapon from her. Failing all favors or enough to not be able to obtain 30 points will permanently lock you out of receiving another weapon from Ruby as you can't claim a weapon to reset her favors.
